Maribel helps financial institutions and corporations develop and implement model risk management frameworks, to ensure that their analytics transformations are properly managed for risk. More broadly, she advises clients on risk topics to help them strengthen risk management practices, controls, and governance.

Background

Maribel has over 13 years of experience working across a broad set of risk management topics within the financial sector. She has been instrumental in developing Risk Dynamics’ Model Risk Management Service Line, leading MRM transformation programs for clients around the globe. She interacts regularly with client supervisors, facilitating training sessions and workshops.

Maribel has been also instrumental in growing model risk services in European, Asian and LatAm markets, and developing McKinsey’s MRM assets, such as its global MRM survey and database. In France, she is a core leader in developing risk management services in topics such as analytics risk management, climate risk, and risk governance and culture.

Earlier, Maribel was on the risk and capital management team at the insurer ING in Brussels. She began her career as a financial controller at IBM, where she supported finance and business planning for customers in southwest European countries, working directly with the CFOs.

Maribel holds a MBA from Hult International Business School, Cambridge, MA and a master in economics from Université de Toulouse I.
