Himanshu helps financial institutions and professional services firms design and pursue growth strategies, improve risk management, and transform their business models. He co-leads McKinsey’s Credit Risk Service Line in North America.

Background

Since joining McKinsey in 2008, Himanshu has served clients across North and South America and Asia.

On growth strategies, he has supported financial institutions across business units, covering a diversity of topics including digital strategies, new product introductions, and M&A. On risk management, his work has spanned credit risk, climate and sustainability, capital management, stress testing, and non-financial risk management. To transform business models, he has advised clients on customer segmentation, developing distinctive value propositions, organizational and operational redesign, and cultural change.

His work for professional services firms includes risk management, organizational restructuring, improving the client experience, and employee engagement.

Prior to joining McKinsey, Himanshu was an M&A attorney with Davis Polk & Wardwell in New York. He received his Juris Doctor degree from Northwestern University, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Northwestern State University.
