Andreas is Managing Partner of Risk Dynamics. He has more than 20 years of experience in the financial industry. He has held management positions in Europe, North America, and Middle East & Africa providing thought leadership, business development, and consulting expertise to leading sell-side and buy-side financial institutions. He has been with McKinsey since 2009 and Risk Dynamics since 2015. In that context, he has supported numerous banks and asset managers worldwide in enhancing their risk management practices.
Since 2015, Andreas has led the acquisition and integration of Risk Dynamics on behalf of the McKinsey New Ventures practice. Upon the successful completion of this process, he joined the executive management team of Risk Dynamics, leading the development of new industry segments and new geographic markets to expand the global footprint. In this capacity Andreas oversees model validation, model risk advisory and model risk management programs. These projects cover all types of financial risks, non-financial/operational risks and regulatory frameworks for asset managers in Europe, North America and banking players in new markets, i.e., all geographies outside North America and Western Europe.
Andreas possesses in-depth knowledge of state-of-the-art risk management practice in banks, as well as traditional and alternative asset management. The focus of his consulting work has been trading, treasury, risk management and business overall. His expertise ranges from trading and trade processing, valuation, market risk for cross-asset class trading and investment portfolios, counterparty credit risk and limit management, Basel II/III implementation to vendor IT solutions for trade and risk management.
Andreas holds degrees in Computer Science and International Business Administration and is also CFA, CAIA and FRM charterholder.
