Andreas advises clients across the breadth of the financial industry, has led expansion of Risk Dynamics into new markets, and is now a Risk Dynamics leader in Asia. He is a member of the Risk Dynamics Executive Committee.

Background

As a member of McKinsey’s New Ventures Practice, Andreas led the acquisition and integration of Risk Dynamics into the firm. He is a member of the McKinsey’s Global Risk Practice and its Asia Risk Practice leadership team.

He has worked in financial services for over two decades, serving banks, asset and wealth managers, hedge funds, and private equity firms across all geographies and financial centers. He has in-depth expertise in risk technology, data, and analytics.

Prior to joining McKinsey in 2009, Andreas held managerial roles at Thomson Reuters Trading and Risk Management Solutions, with international assignments in Europe, the Middle East, and North America. He was also a treasury and risk management specialist at Erste Group, a leading banking firm in central Europe.

Andreas is a regular speaker at conferences and senior client events, and has authored several papers on model risk management.

Andreas holds a master’s degree in Computer Science from Vienna University of Technology, and bachelor’s and master’s degrees in International Business Administration from the University of Vienna. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst, Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst, and a Financial Risk Manager charter holder.
